Pattern making and foundry tooling
Every casting starts as tooling. Our pattern shop builds it in-house, which is why we can change it quickly when the first samples tell us something.
We build patterns and core boxes from your 2D drawings or 3D model, in wood, resin or aluminium depending on the expected series length. Short runs and prototypes get wood or resin; long-running series justify aluminium tooling.
Because the pattern shop sits next to the moulding line, corrections after first-article sampling take days rather than weeks — and no drawing intent is lost passing between companies.

Tooling we build
Wood patterns
Fast and economical for prototypes and short series.
Resin patterns
Better dimensional stability for medium production volumes.
Aluminium tooling
Durable tooling for long-running, high-volume castings.
Core boxes
Cores for internal passages, water jackets and hollow sections.
How we work with your data
- STEP, IGES and native 3D formats accepted
- 2D drawings reviewed for castability before tooling is cut
- Shrinkage, draft and machining allowance applied per grade
- Gating and feeding designed for the specific part
- Tooling stored and maintained for repeat orders
